Meccano E15R Motor Alternatives

These are illustrations of Norm LaCroix’s design for a replacement E15R type motor (maybe it should be called a modernized, improved E15R motor?). Anyway, the core consists of an excellent 3-24VDC motor with a shaft 3/4″ long and .157″ diameter, but the beauty of this small motor is that it is so powerful that it is very difficult to stop it from rotating at just 12VDC, and also fits onto any standard part with 3 holes in a row (1/2″ spacing), so there are other possibilities.

Click on these small images for larger images that can be viewed or printed with high resolution.

Please note: Norm LaCroix passed away on July 30, 1999 so these motors are no longer available.
